PTI seeks details of Imran Khan’s security expenses after Islamabad IGP claim
The PTI has requested details of President and former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s security expenditure from the Home Ministry after the Inspector General of Islamabad Police (IGP) claimed that Imran Khan’s security cost a large sum of money to the government.
To clarify, IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir informed the Senate Home Committee that 266 security personnel had been delegated for the security of the PTI President which cost the government Rs. 20 million per month.
The IGP told the Senate Home Affairs Committee that Border Police, Rangers, Islamabad Police, KP Police and British Police, personnel from two private security companies were also carrying out security responsibilities. of the former prime minister.

Needless to say, the idea of the government spending Rs. 20 million on Imran Khan’s security did not go unnoticed by the PML-N leaders who criticized the PTI chairman.

Government’s responsibility to provide security: Fawad Chaudhry
As a result, the PTI retaliated and demanded details of Imran Khan’s security expenditures from the PML-N led government. In a statement, former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry noted that it was the government’s primary responsibility to ensure Imran Khan’s safety.
Fawad Chaudhry also criticized the Sharif brothers and the Zardari family for “using state resources for glory”, saying the Sharif brothers safely lavished billions on themselves.

It is pertinent to mention that PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan is facing death threats. Even Islamabad’s IGP admitted there had been reports of threats to the life of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Moreover, the PTI has repeatedly claimed that the incumbent government took over Imran Khan’s security when his life was in danger.
