Crouch also said procurement spending was about $ 1.2 million over budget for the month.
Professional expenses were also about $ 312,000 over budget for the month due to expenses incurred in the current litigation at the hospital’s outpatient surgery center. RMC is challenging plans for a private surgery center across from the hospital.
Crouch said the hospital remains in compliance with all of its bank covenants. The hospital has 116 days of cash flow compared to the required minimum of 100 days.
RMC’s vice president of physician office operations Sabrina Robinson said for fiscal year 2020-2021, the hospital’s six primary care practices saw their visits decline by about 9,237.
This was because the hospital had budgeted for visits from two highly productive providers who have since left the hospital system.
The practices were $ 717,000 under budget, one of six practices that hit budget for the year.
For fiscal year 2020-2021, Express Care recorded 5,385 under-budget visits and overall Express Care revenue was approximately $ 405,000 below budget for the year.
